Strengthening Healthcare

One woman tacks up a large piece of paper titled

With communities at the center, CARE is working to support more effective and motivated health workers.

CARE goes beyond providing health services and works to address the barriers that prevent the most vulnerable people from accessing quality, equitable health care. We use our signature approaches like Social Analysis and Action (which helps people transform social norms) and the Community Score Card© (a citizen-driven accountability approach that facilitates access to quality services).

With communities at the center, CARE is working to support more effective and motivated health workers. We also increase health systems’ ability to serve the people who are hardest to reach and to respond to crisis. We know local communities are experts on their own situations and working together is the best way to build strong, self-sustaining, and equitable health systems.
