March 21, 2023 – CARE announced today that Meagan Fallone, founder of Step-Up Advisers – a consultancy working to drive impact at scale to shape a more positive economy for people and the planet – has joined CARE as an Executive Adviser of Climate Justice, and CARE’s inaugural Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
Drawing on her extensive expertise in agricultural livelihoods, financial inclusion, environmental stewardship, renewable energy, and digital technology development and integration, Fallone will focus on the innovation of digital technologies, while supporting the ongoing Systems Change work being done across all Climate Justice verticals at CARE.
Gloria Steele, CARE’s Chief Operating Officer welcomed Fallone, noting that:

Steele added that Fallone brings a wealth of experience as a social entrepreneur, corporate social intrapreneur, strategist, and explorer. Meagan is the award-winning CEO emeritus of Barefoot College and Barefoot College International (BCI) a global, hybrid social enterprise working in the renewable energy, education, agri-livelihood, women’s entrepreneurship and gender space.
Prior to founding Step Up Advisers, Fallone most recently served as Chief Impact Officer and Digital Product Designer of the Swiss Agri-food company Innoterra AG.
