Responding to the World’s Worst COVID Outbreak in India

CARE has been on the frontlines of the COVID response in India, aligning our work with governments to address the outbreak.

CARE has been on the frontlines of the COVID response in India, aligning our work with governments to address the outbreak. In response to the second wave of the pandemic, more than 2,000 beds in 14 facilities across the country have been set up to support existing cases and prepare for future surges. Desperately needed oxygen, medical supplies, and PPE kits have been provided to the most vulnerable.

CARE is also supporting the rollout of vaccines by increasing access through newly established health facilities and engaging communities through education and direct interactions with them.
