June 14, 2018 — Jolien Veldwijk, CARE Yemen’s assistant country director of CARE, was featured on NBC Nightly News in a segment about the limited access of humanitarian aid in Yemen after a recent military offensive blocked the port city of Hodeidah.
“8 million people, even before this morning, were already at risk of starvation. If the port is closed, even for a day, this means that these people will die,” she said.
