Metro New York posted a story about New York City students at Trinity and Spence schools who wrote letters to Afghan refugees in Greece. The story included an interview with Monica Merlis, CARE USA’s director of community partnerships. “The whole thing in general is very touching and heartfelt,” Merlis said. “These students’ letters start with things like, ‘What’s your favorite subject?’ or ‘What’s your favorite sport?’ to ‘I support you’ and ‘You’re brave and strong.’
