ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) — A local nonprofit has switched gears to help those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
“75 years ago, a group of Americans got together to send out care packages to folks in Europe who were rebuilding in the wake of the war,” said Ryan Shepard, the Executive Director of the CARE’s Global Innovation Hub.
Atlanta-based humanitarian organization, CARE, is partnering with Atlanta Public Schools, CHRIS 180, Concrete Jungle, Purpose Built Schools Atlanta and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta to form a summer COVID feeding coalition.
