Jesse Rattan, CARE’s director of sexual reproductive health in emergencies, was quoted in a recent story by the Huffington Post, which highlighted the struggles women and girls face in terms of their sexual and reproductive health rights in times of turmoil. Rattan said: “Pervasive gender-inequitable norms underlie the invisibility of women’s needs.”
