Reuters: Plate of beans to costly for some as conflict sends food costs rocketing

Reuters quoted Emily Janoch, a CARE director of learning,  in a story about a recent study by the U.N. World Food Program (WFP), that found food was becoming less affordable in countries hit by conflict and instability. 

For example, in Yemen the price of staple items like rice and wheat has doubled in recent months.

“In fragile settings, prices often change quickly, especially for the most vulnerable people,” she said. Read the full story here
