HuffPost and Yahoo, media partners in Make #March4Women, released a series of stories based on a poll that the Verizon Media brands co-sponsored with CARE. The ‘What Women Want Now’ poll of more than 1,000 women in the United States found that more than two thirds of respondents — 68 percent — say American women should play a role in trying to reduce the gender-based discrimination that occurs in many parts of the world. Some 61 percent of American women say they personally should have a role in reducing gender-based discrimination around the world. And more than half — 53 percent — see such a role for the U.S. government. The story is titled “Most Women See Gender Equality Around the World as Their Shared Responsibility.” Read it here.
