Our Strategic Partners
CARE works with a wide range of global and US government funders. These partners provide critical support that allows CARE to implement programs through our country offices around the world.
The CDC works to keep people healthy by preventing disease, injury, and disability. It supports global efforts to protect health through training, prevention programs, and preparedness.
CARE collaborates with several bureaus within the State Department, including The Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM), The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL), and The Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA): Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI)
The Global Fund is a public-private partnership that infests efforts to prevent and treat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. CARE works with the Global Fund and other partners to expand access to essential health services and strengthen existing development efforts.
The World Bank provides financial and technical assistance to low- and middle- income countries to support people experiencing poverty and improve global living conditions. CARE collaborates with the World Bank through both of its main institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the International Development Association.
While much of USDA’s work is based in the United States, it also supports global food programs. CARE works with USDA primarily through the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program, which funds efforts to improve food access and school nutrition worldwide.
The Department of Labor works to protect workers’ rights and improve working conditions, for all Americans. It also supports research and programs that address international labor issues like child labor. DoL is a key funder of the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) International Program on the Elimination of Child Labor.
