Bellamy Young is an actress best known for her roles in “Scandal,” “Prodigal Son,” and “Promised Land.” She graduated from Yale University, has starred on Broadway, and released Far Away So Close, her debut album. Bellamy began supporting and working with CARE in 2018. In 2019, she took a transformative trip with CARE to learn about their projects in Rwanda. Among many notable encounters, she met a farmer named Brigette who transformed her life by joining a CARE savings group and becoming an entrepreneur. For Bellamy, getting to witness firsthand what is possible when we support each other was a turning point in her own life. Bellamy is now proud to advance CARE’s work by sharing stories of personal transformation, like Brigette’s, through the She Leads with CARE podcast. She currently serves as a leading CARE Advocate and is a member of CARE’s Global Advisory Council.
