Everett Harper is the CEO and Co-Founder of Truss, a digital services company that builds software to solve complex problems for large government agencies and Fortune 500 clients. Truss projects include fixing healthcare.gov, and building IRS Direct File in 2024. Truss was named as an Inc 5000 fastest-growing US private company from 2020 through 2022.
Everett serves on the Boards of the Center for Advanced Study in Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford University, the Center for Applied Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is the author of Move to the Edge, Declare it Center (Wiley), a framework for leaders to solve complex problems in times of uncertainty.
Everett graduated with an MBA and a M.Ed. in Learning, Design and Technology from Stanford University. Before that, Everett was an A.B. Duke Scholar at Duke University. While there, he won Duke’s first NCAA National Championship in soccer, and was inducted into the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame in 2019. Everett joined CARE’s Board in 2017.
