Kenya – Global Health Solutions (August 2009)

Our delegation traveled to Kenya 18 months after post-election violence left deep scars on its population of nearly 40 million people. We heard from women about their most pressing issues related to the health and well-being of their families. We spoke to health workers in rural communities and in urban areas about successes they’ve had at reversing maternal mortality and the spread of diseases like HIV and malaria, and the challenges they continue to face in these fights.
