Patrick Sikana has over 25 years of experience leading teams in implementing health, education, and livelihood interventions in emergency, recovery, and development settings. He has worked with the UN and seven international NGOs in Southern, East, and West Africa, as well as South America.
Before rejoining CARE in August 2021, Patrick worked as Vice President for Programs at VillageReach, responsible for strategy, business development and oversight of programs growth and quality.
Patrick believes that diversity is a strength, never a weakness. He is passionate about a society that acts together to deal with present and future exigencies. In his ideal world, women and men have equitable access to the means to thrive and to protect themselves.
Patrick is a keen student of transformational leadership. He enjoys exploring new frontiers, harnessing technology and challenging the status quo. His favorite question is “why not?”
During his leisure, if he is not reading a book, fishing or climbing a mountain, then he is looking for the next mountain to climb.
Patrick holds an MA in Development Studies, and a BA with Education.
