CARE Journeys offers one-of-a-kind trips to destinations around the world, combining your love of travel with meaningful opportunities to learn firsthand about CARE’s mission-critical program work.

Local CARE teams and program partners are involved in designing each trip’s strategy and itinerary every step of the way, enabling you to enjoy an experience crafted by hosts who deeply understand the community, their stories, their power, and their history.

Honduras

March 2024

This six-day journey began in San Pedro Sula and included visits to programs in surrounding rural communities focused on agriculture and women’s empowerment. The group learned firsthand about efforts to tackle some of the region’s most intractable challenges—from climate change to the root causes of migration. The trip wrapped up with a visit to the ruins of Copán, one of the most important sites of the Mayan civilization.

Zambia and Malawi

October 2023

This eight-day journey focused primarily on learning about CARE's education programming and local efforts to empower children to build the skills needed to achieve their full potential. The group arrived in Zambia's capital city of Lusaka, and from there embarked on a tour of schools and visits with local education leaders in villages in Eastern Zambia and Central Malawi. The trip wrapped up with a farewell celebration in Lilongwe, Malawi.

While the typical CARE Journeys group consists of 8 to 12 travelers, we have experience hosting groups of all sizes.
