This initiative supports a cohort of visionary Arts for Gender Equality Fellows, to connect their work with grassroots and international social justice and arts groups and political leaders for collective reflections, exploration, and action.
Why gender?
Gender remains one of the most fundamental sources of inequality in the world today. CARE and its partners must learn from and support diverse women, girls, and LGBTQI+ leaders to challenge injustice and work toward equality.
The power of art
Art can express new horizons and futures that expand our imaginations of what is possible for the future and reconnect us to our past histories and lineages.
