Nick has worked in the field of international humanitarian and development management for over 20 years. Nick first joined CARE in Zambia as a sector coordinator in 1995 and has since held a progression of senior management positions. In 1998 he established CARE's presence and operations in Malawi and went on to become the Country Director. Following the Asian tsunami, Nick moved to becoming the Country Director in Sri Lanka and has served as CARE USA's Asia Regional Director since 2010. During his time with CARE, Nick has gained extensive experience working across a diverse range of programs as well as collaborating closely with local and international NGOs, UN agencies, host national and district governments, public and private donors and organizations. Before coming to CARE, Nick worked for a number of years in Zambia as both a consultant and volunteer. Nick has a Masters in Agricultural Development from London University and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Kingston University.
