Reproductive Health

CARE believes that all people have the right to achieve their best possible standard of health. The countries where we work have some of the highest rates of preventable maternal and child deaths in the world.

Therefore, we aim to increase access to quality health services, including reproductive health services in humanitarian crises and fragile contexts. We work with government officials, health providers, and community groups to support high-quality, comprehensive health education and services.

Health depends on more than direct services; larger social and community factors shape individual well-being. CARE works directly with communities to address root causes — such as unfair power structures and policies — that hinder access to quality health services and healthy living conditions. By challenging these barriers, CARE helps create conditions where everyone can make healthy choices.
